Software should earn its keep
If we can't explain the return on a piece of software, we probably shouldn't be building it.
Bespoke means intentional
Custom software is only worth it if it fits the problem precisely. Generic thinking in a custom codebase is the worst of both worlds.
AI is a tool, not a strategy
We use AI where it genuinely improves the outcome. That's sometimes a lot, sometimes nothing at all.
