I take care of the people who build the product. Hiring well, building a culture worth staying in, and making sure the team has what it needs to do good work.

  • Talent Acquisition. Finding people who are genuinely good at what they do and actually want to be here.
  • Culture. Building an environment where people do their best work without burning out.
  • Onboarding. Making sure new hires hit the ground running and feel at home quickly.
  • Team Development. Helping people grow in their roles — not just perform in them.
  • Retention. Understanding why people stay and why they leave, then acting on it.
  • Organisation Design. Structuring the team so communication stays clear as we grow.

A few things I actually believe.

Hire for character, train for skill

Technical ability matters, but how someone works with others matters more. The rest can be learned.

Culture is behaviour, not values on a wall

What we actually do day to day — how we give feedback, how we handle mistakes — that is the culture.

People problems are business problems

A team that is unhappy or misaligned will show up in the product eventually. I try to catch it before it does.
